Q. Why should a company provide Safety Prescription Eyewear?

A. Employers have a duty of care under the OHS Act, to take responsible steps to ensure the health & safety of all employees.

Q. How important is a certified prescription safety eyewear product?

A. OHS demand certified products as the OHS Legislation states they must be manufactured to current Australian Standards. If you are not supplying safety eyewear that is compliant to the standards you will be in breach of the legislation

Q. How do I know my prescription safety eyewear product is to Australian Standards?

A. All spectacles from All Australian Safety will be supplied with certified frame, which has the correct laser markings on them, as well lens markings compliant to the AS/NZS 1337.6 standards and each order will be received with a Certificate of Compliance.

Q. How much does it cost for the AAS Optician to perform an onsite fitting visit?

A. There is no extra charge for an AAS Optician to visit onsite to fit 10 or more employees.
Excess travel fees may be incurred by a company, to fit less than 10 employees when the Travel time exceeds a 3 hour return trip.
The AAS Optician will quote the company for excess travel fees, prior to the onsite visit being performed.

Q. When will an AAS Optician be onsite to perform fittings?

A. AAS prefer 10 or more employees to be fitted onsite, but will perform an onsite visit when a lesser number require fitting, depending on the site location.
AAS Optician's will arrange with the OHS/Site Manager, to be onsite at the most suitable time for employees.

Q. What about Shift workers?

A. AAS Certified Opticians are willing to work during shift changeover times which are relevant to a site.

Q. Do AAS perform onsite Eye Testing?

A. AAS are unable to test onsite as bulk billing is not available.

Q. Do computer screens cause eye damage?

A. No, there is no evidence of computer screens causing eye damage, however excessive screen time can cause eye strain and fatigue, but with the correct coating on lenses we could help neutralise blue light emitted and help reduce glare.

Q. My current glasses fog, can this be stopped?
